" About the Author: "Badri Narain Sinha, affectionately known as “Badri Babu,” was born on April 4, 1930, in Sarmohanpur village, Darbhanga district, Bihar, into a simple farming family. Through determination, hard work, and remarkable talent, he earned postgraduate degree in English Literature from Patna University at the young age of 19. Just three years later, in 1952, he succeeded in the qualifying examination of UPSC in the first attempt and got selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS) in Bihar cadre. During his career as an efficient administrator, he laid the foundation for a citizen-friendly police system.
