Shreya Sen-Handley is the author of three books with HarperCollins, the award-winning ‘Memoirs of My Body’ (2017), modern tales of the unexpected ‘Strange: Stories’ (2019), hailed as “masterful” by beloved Indian-English author Ruskin Bond, and new travelogue 'Handle with Care' (2022) described by author and naturalist Lee Durrell as "a fabulous read...written lustrously and wittily". A Welsh National Opera librettist, the first South Asian woman to write international operas, their 200-performer production ‘Migrations' has been listed by The Times as one of 50 best shows to watch in 2022. Shreya's play 'Quiet' was staged in London by award-winning Tara Theatre in 2021. A columnist for the international media, writing for the National Geographic, CNN, The Guardian, and more, she also illustrates for the likes of Hachette and HarperCollins. Her short stories and poetry have been published in anthologies, broadcast on BBC and Australian radio, shortlisted for prizes in Britain, India, and Australia, and spearheaded British national social justice campaigns. She teaches creative writing for British and Indian institutions, including the University of Cambridge.
