Shridhar Naik has a Masters Degree in History from Mumbai University. He has had stints with leading publications the print media as well as with leading P. R. agencies. In addition he has broadcast programmes on a freelance basis with All India Radio. He has also been a faculty for Journalism and Media in various colleges in Mumbai. He now contributes articles to publications like the Sunday Guardian and The Quint. Earlier he has published research papers in different academic journals.
He has published two books of fiction. On Ills and Crime is his first collection of stories to be published. His second work Dark Secrets of Khushinagar is a novel set in the slums of Mumbai.
He has recently been awarded the International Tagore Award for Literature , and the Best Smith Award for Literature. His book On Ills and Crime has been nominated for the Sahitya Sparsh Award.
