With liberalisation and globalisation, the Indian Economy is open to international competition. A number of contracts including international contracts are being entered everyday in business transactions. Thus the law of contracts have gained much prominence due to the galloping growth in international trade and commercial activities. It is, therefore, necessary that a lawyer should equip himself thoroughly with the knowledge of principles of contract so that he can efficiently and effectively handle the novel cases that are, of late, cropping up. The present book on the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Specific Relief Act, 1963 has been written primarily to fulfil these objectives, besides making it extremely useful for examination purposes of law students.
