My latest book, THE FAKE WIFE, is a twisty psychological thriller in which no one is quite whom they seem. I like to think of it as my Russian Dolls book: each mystery unfolds to reveal another, deeper, puzzle and only as we learn more about the characters at its heart – Olive, Michael, the Stranger, Michael’s first wife Eloise, and the elusive and mysterious Maddy, do we start to glimpse the deadly game these people are playing.
When I’m not writing I love sailing and wild swimming and have recently taken up ballet classes again after several decades’ hiatus. I love reading (of course) films and TV dramas, and spending time in my garden. I live in the Chiltern Hills, not far from Oxford, with my husband Andy and, occasionally, our grown-up son, Hal.
