Grandma Anna is so excited. Her grandson Joey is finally coming to visit. They spend the day, playing, reading, and eating. Suddenly, Anna realizes that something is missing. Joey has not given her a hug or a kiss.
They spend the rest of their time together searching everywhere for the missing hug and kiss. Are they hiding in the house, in the garden, at the beach or up in the clouds? Finally, Joey realizes where they might be. Can you guess the answer?
The second part of the book is my favorite part. Joey and Grandma play a game. They present the reader with real life situations and talk about the feeling one would experience in each. For example, how does one feel when another child takes your ball and won't return it? Hurt, of course. The author discusses a range of feelings, both positive and negative.
I recommend this book for preschoolers through primary grades. A good choice for parents, teachers, and counselors

I loved reading book 2 in the Anna Banana series by Sigal Adler. The illustrations were, large, bright and engaging. This time Joey spends the night with his grandma. They have a great time together when she cooks some of his favorite dishes. They play and enjoy lots of activities together, but they discover there's something missing: kisses and hugs. Joey and Grandma search high and low to see where the hugs are hiding. They look in Joey's bed, but they discover the cat instead. They walk on the beach and search the sand; still, no hugs to be found. Eventually, they're tired of looking and about to abandon their mission. But Joey remembers his arms can create perfect hugs! It's an adorable, endearing tale that preschoolers and their families will treasure. In addition, there are different scenarios at the end of the book so children can imagine how they would feel in certain situations. It's a lovely, educational feature. I highly recommend this book.

Author Sigal Adler has done it yet again and created a lovely, charming and funny children's book.
Her latest creation - Granny Anna - is a sweet old lady who seems to keep misplacing things.
In the first book she was after the perfect house, constantly switching from one fruit and veggie to another, but here she embarks on a quest with her grandson Joey.
Together they look for their lost kiss and hug.
The rhymes are precious and accurate, and the whole book is one fun journey for the little ones.
Plus, the illustrations are absolutely adorable (I love granny's unique hair color).
I recommend the book!!! One hundred percent!
