Zeshan Qureshi BM BSc (Hons) MSc MRCPCH FAcadMEd MRCPS(Glasg) is an academic and clinical paediatrician based in London. He graduated with Distinction from the University of Southampton, and has published and presented research work extensively and internationally in the fields of pharmacology, global health and medical education.
In 2015, he published an article in the BMJ entitled “Stillbirth should be given greater priority on the global health agenda”, highlighting the current status of stillbirth, and what could be done to prevent it. He was part of the team that put together the Lancet stillbirth series in 2016, and continues to widely advocate for greater attention to stillbirth prevention.
He is also a media and parliamentary representative for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and has appeared widely on TV and radio, including Newsnight, the Victoria Derbyshire Show, and ITV News.
Through setting up a medical publishing company, Zeshan aims to harness the insights, altruism, and hard work of medical students and junior doctors to produce relatable textbooks for trainees, using a unique 'flipped publishing' model (www.unofficialguidetomedicine.com). He continues to practice as a doctor, and his research work explores the academic foundation to the philosophy underlying his textbooks.
