Chitta Ranjan, originally from Guwahati, Assam, is an experienced energy professional living in Perth, Western Australia, with his wife and two children. His love for nature and wildlife, especially bird watching, stems from his childhood spent in the lush landscapes of north-eastern India. Chitta’s fascination with India’s jungles and with the history of its many princely states during British India inspired his debut novel, The Elephant Girl. Following its success, he ventured into Assamese literature, publishing his second novel in 2023. Now he has written his third fiction work, The Grassland Games, a mystery-thriller set in the wilderness of north-eastern India.
