The narrative takes you through the four phases in the life of the protagonist-learner, a surgeon in training, a surgical teacher and finally a retired doyen. The author weaves a beautiful tapestry from his experience of treating several patients spread over his entire surgical career. The climax takes the readers through a mind-boggling surreal voyage to reveal why Rocky was his great head teacher, Magnus Magister.
