Jagadamba Mall is a renowned social worker, a noted scholar, a columnist, an orator and an author. Since 1976, he has spent five decades to exploring and researching North East, residing in Kohima, Dimapur and other parts of the region. He has toured extensively and frequently across Nagaland, Manipur and all the NE states, including Sikkim. He was also an officer in Office of Accountant General (A&E) Nagaland, Kohima. He writes in Hindi and English. He knows Bangla, Assamese and Nagamese. Born in Machharihwa village, Deoria district, UP, he holds a degree of B.Sc. (Biology) from Gorakhpur University. He now lives in Gorakhpur. His field of socio-cultural activity is Northeast region including Sikkim as a worker of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram with his headquarters at Guwahati.
