A collection of poems written as the poet experienced life between the ages of eight and fourteen.
Read it like a diary or read it like a story; if you enjoy poetry on themes that resonate with you, then you might enjoy Beyond the Horizon. From poems about music and nature to the discord of uncertainty and the joy of resolve, there's something for everyone in this collection.
Thank you for being here, dear friend; we appreciate your interest greatly. Have a lovely day!
Life’s a train, they say.
It stops at different stations,
and shows off different views to every passenger.
Scenic fields of buttercups
and pretty meadows
are as numerous
and as certain to appear to one
as barren, desolate plots of land.
People ascend, descend
dismounting at their various destinations
while new travellers clamber on,
luggage and documents in hand
thus the balance remains.
You make friends sometimes,
or rivals at other times,
and lose some of both;
then there are those you never bothered with, of course.
