<li>As a Man Thinking is an essay and self-help classic book written by James Allen (24th November 1864 24th January 1912). When Allen was just 15 years, his businessman father was robbed and murdered, causing his family to suffer financial crises. This prompted Allen to find work and eventually he moved to Devon, England with his wife and daughter.</li>
<li>The book focuses on harnessing one’s thoughts to cultivate the philosophy and best attitude of a successful person. It is written in a lucid and simple language and is easy to understand.</li>
<li>It is narrated how actions matter a lot and how thoughts help one act faster. The book states that man is the master of thought, the moulder of character and the maker of destiny, and that our thoughts are the fountain of our life.</li>
<li>The aphorism “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” is well suited to human life. The book shows how the way one thinks affects their daily life, and how to be happier, wealthier and lead a peaceful, stress-free life. The book also encourages self-analysis.</li>
