Rasipuram Krishnaswamy Iyer Laxman also known as R.K. Laxman is one of India's most popular cartoonists. The Common Man is his most famous cartoon creation and was published in The Times of India cartoon strip named You Said it. He was a recipient of multiple awards including The Padma Vibhushan, The Ramon Magsaysay Award, The Lifetime Achievement Award and The Pune Pandit Award. He completed his Bachelor's from The University of Mysore and worked as a cartoonist alongside Bal Thackeray in Mumbai for some time. Eventually, he joined The Times of India and worked there for the next 50 years.
