Rear Admiral Sanjay Roye is an accomplished Naval leader with 37 years of extensive experience in challenging VUCA environments across the globe. He has a MBA in International Business and is a certified Independent Director. A pioneer of nuclear submarines in India, he commissioned and later commanded the nuclear attack submarine INS Chakra. He is considered a subject matter expert in acquisitions, business partnerships and negotiations of multi-billion dollars worth strategic projects. He has been involved in a number of global projects related to submarine construction and weapon development and their acceptance and induction into the Indian Navy. He is credited with the creation of the Gujarat Daman & Diu Naval Area, which he commanded from 2017 to 2020. In all his responsibilities, he demonstrated his passion for high-impact initiatives, ESG, social growth and development.
He is also an accomplished writer and photographer. His photographs have been published in 54 international magazines including Lonely Planet, NatGeo Traveller, Smart Photography, Outlook Traveller etc.
