Originally from Birmingham, Ed Church studied languages at Edinburgh University before training as a journalist and writing for the Press Association’s International Sport desk. In 2005 he joined the Metropolitan Police, going on to serve ten years in London as both a uniformed officer and detective.
After leaving the police, Ed began writing during tea breaks while renovating houses, soon discovering he preferred writing to renovating. When he swapped dry land for life on a narrowboat, the notebooks came with him, eventually becoming his debut novel, “Non-Suspicious”. The Brook Deelman series is characterised by dual timelines, multiple POVs, and themes such as deception, justice, and fate. There is also a lot of beer.
