Institute of Objective Studies instituted a project to publish a set of volume on the Role of Muslims in the Indian Freedom Struggle 1857-1947. The focus of all the volumes is on the Muslim Freedom fighters in the respective region. Volume IV covering States of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, deals with the role of Muslims in the Indian Freedom Struggle in the above mentioned states. The objective of the study is to see the nature and degree of muslim participation in different centres of indian states. The study therefore, covers all important centres of the Indian states from 1857 to 1947, thematically divided into two parts, Part-1: Phase of Uprising and Part-2: Era of National Movement.
