Dr Melanie Windridge is a plasma physicist, speaker, writer… with a taste for adventure. Her personal projects combine science with adventure—investigating the northern lights and Everest—while her main work is dedicated to the development of fusion as an energy source.
Melanie has a PhD in plasma physics (fusion energy) from Imperial College London where she remains an academic visitor. She is Communications Consultant for privately-funded fusion company Tokamak Energy and UK Director, Communications, for the Fusion Industry Association, which works to accelerate the development of fusion as a clean energy source for the future. She is currently Vice President of the prestigious Alpine Club.
